Description of the event
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday 31 May at 6 pm.
About the exhibition
Our experiences with artworks are often only "flat", visual. However, the perception of the object as a whole can be significantly expanded by tactile knowledge. The installation Tactile Memory will playfully attempt to materialize our visual imagination with the help of a plaster roller, which can be moved at will during the opening. Outside the opening, the rollers are also available around the chapel. Thus, we can perceive the installation both visually and tactilely (tactilely), through the window of the chapel and through the roller.
About the artist
Marie Jarošincová (1993) graduated in the sculpture studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the Technical University in Liberec. Her work is mainly sculptural, based mainly on figurative motifs, inspired by the physical movement of man. The central theme has become the haptic perception of non-conceptual sculptural objects. Together with her sculptural work, she also develops the drawing, graphic and painting level, in which she deals with psychological schemes.
The exhibition is held with the financial support of the statutory town of Jablonec nad Nisou.
