Description of the place
Concert Hall in the Headquarters of the Basic Art School, a Contributory Organization, at Podhorská Street 47, Jablonec nad Nisou
The building was constructed between 1926 and 1927 and began serving as a district office and venue for district council meetings from 1928 onwards. It was designed by Robert Hemmrich in 1924. The ceremonial assembly hall also hosted municipal cultural events.
The hall's façade is adorned with a triptych of paintings by Jizerské Mountains painter Eduard Enzmann (1882-1965). The central motif depicts Malá Jizerská Louka, while the smaller painting on the left captures Josefův Důl with the Josefodolská Vyhlídka viewpoint, and the one on the right shows Jablonec nad Nisou with Černá Studnice. Eduard Enzmann, who lived in Jizerka at the time, created the triptych for this hall by commission in 1927.
